The Accredited Immigration Consultant Diploma Program is designed to prepare students for a wide range of opportunities within the immigration consultancy field. Along the duration of six months program, and four weeks internship/placement, students learn both the theoretical and practical aspects of the profession required to analyze clients’ cases, advise and represent potential immigrants and refugees before the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB), and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). Furthermore, the program aims to educate students and enhance their skills necessary to apply their knowledge not only while representing clients competently and ethically before these governmental authorities, but also to enable them to operate a successful immigration consultancy practice. To this effect, the program curriculum provides students with the various aspects of immigration law, rules and regulations as well as with the letter and the spirit of the ICCRC Code of Professional Ethics and professional conduct.
The Accredited Immigration Consultant Diploma Program also prepares students to write the Entry-to-Practice Exam (ETPE), administered by the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC), so that they can obtain their Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) designation as the ICCRC Members in good standing.
Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCIC) are able to work and practice across Canada as well as in other countries around the world. Graduates of the Accredited Immigration Consultant Diploma Program may also find employment at immigration law firms, immigration consulting firms, and government’s agencies.
